What types of files does Prinly accept?
We can accept JPG, GIF, and PNG files using our online design system. PDF, AI, and EPS can also be accepted. There is a $15 processing charge if you prefer to email these files. Please contact us for more information.
Can I cancel an order once it is placed?
Due to the custom nature of printing along with our automated system cancellations are generally not accepted. Our system is almost 100% automated. After an order is placed the plates are almost immediately made and the printing process starts. In the rare case we are able to stop the process there will be a $20 plate charge as plates are immediately created and this is a hard cost for us.
Which color mode should my files be saved as?
For the most accurate color matching please use the CMYK mode. Using RGB may result in colors not appearing as intended. Please note that if you send the files in RGB mode we will still print them, but the colors may be slightly off. Please see below for an example.
What Resolution should my file be created in?
We recommend a minimum resolution of 300dpi. We guarantee that if using the online design center all background images and text will be created using the proper resolution. If uploading your own files we will do our best to notify you if the file is too low of a resolution. Please note however that we cannot be held responsible if the resolution is too low and the product is printed
When uploading an image or background how can I be sure my blues will not print as purple?
When printing in blue please make sure there is a 30% difference in the cyan and magenta values within your design. The reason blues may print in purple is because blue and purple are very close in the CMYK spectrum and most computer monitors are not calibrated for color matching. This results in most computer monitors displaying a blue color on screen and a purple color when printed.
I noticed that there is a white box around a graphic I uploaded onto my Business Card, how do I remove this?
To avoid this issue please save your file using a transparent background and re-upload.
How can I reorder a product?
From within your account you are able to load previously purchased products that were created within our designer. Once the file is loaded you may place an exact reorder, or make some changes to the product before ordering. If you saved a card without purchasing you should have been emailed a link. Please click this link to load your saved product.
I noticed within the designer, there are fields for Company Name, Title, Website, etc. Are these just suggestions, or do I need to put my Company Name where it says Company Name, Title where it says Title, etc.
This is just how we suggest you create the card. You may put any information in any field. In addition you may leave lines blank or delete them entirely
